Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova has declined the invitation from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and has decided not to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. This was announced in a press release published on the IOC website.
"The following athletes with Russian passports have been invited and accepted: Anastasia POTAPOVA (F) - invitation declined," the statement reads.
However, it is reported that the IOC has sent an invitation to Russian swimmer Evgeny Somov.
In addition, the IOC has published the names of the first 14 Russian athletes allowed to compete in the Olympics.
Tennis players Rublev, Khachanov, and Samsonova will not be participating in the Games. Cyclists Dronova and Ivanchenko have confirmed their participation, while Vlasov has declined.
The Russian Judo Federation has also decided not to send athletes to the Games in Paris.
