Microsoft has published a report on its website accusing Russia of trying to tarnish the reputation of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and creating an expectation of violence during the Games. The company alleges that Russia is spreading fake news reports attributed to Euronews and France 24, as well as videos supposedly from the CIA warning of security threats and risks at the Olympics.
The report does not specify the reason behind Microsoft's assessment of Russian influence on the Games.
