Russian Tennis Federation President Shamil Tarpischev believes that Russian athletes are capable of winning medals at the Olympic Games in Paris.

Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) President Shamil Tarpischev expressed his opinion that Russian athletes are capable of winning medals at the Olympic Games. He stated, "Our team, composed of experienced and young tennis players, is undoubtedly capable of winning medals in Paris. But we can only talk about specific medals after the draw," quoted Tarpischev by TASS.

Prior to this, the ITF published a list which included Daniil Medvedev, Roman Safiullin, Pavel Kotov, Ekaterina Alexandrova, Mirra Andreeva, and Diana Schneider. In the doubles tournament, Medvedev-Safiullin, Andreeva-Schneider, and Alexandrova-Vesnina made it into the entry list, with the latter still awaiting an invitation from the IOC.

Aslan Karatsev and Veronika Kudermetova remain without an invitation from the RTF, raising questions as to why they are not granted access to the Olympics.
